She's on a stairway to heaven, he can barely manage the chords...Hapless Will Harding hadn't imagined leading a life of glamour. But when he's offered the job of bass player in brand new Brighton band, Double Top, he finds it hard to resist. Particularly as the band's photographer is the stunningly sexy and slightly kooky Lauren Miles. A sassy rock chick with intriguing taste in plastercast moulds...There's just one rocky pebble on the smooth path to lust. The alluring Lauren has a boyfriend. And he just happens to be Double Top's founder member and lead singer. Oh, and he also oozes charisma and sex appeal from every pore...Will, or course, just oozes. As Double Top scramble their talentless way to the peak of Brighton Rocks, Will faces the choice of losing his place in the band, losing his girl or losing his virginity. When it comes to the crunch can gawky beat gorgeous in winning the girl's heart? After all, that crazy little thing called love is a capricious creature and sometimes the outcome is just too close to call...Tom Bromley has written a fresh, funny and unashamedly romantic debut novel that will appeal to anyone who's ever had a Class A crush and delusions of grandeur.

I never liked jazz music because jazz music doesn't resolve. . . . I used to not like God because God didn't resolve. But that was before any of this happened. In Donald Miller's early years, he was vaguely familiar with a distant God. But when he came to know Jesus Christ, he pursued the Christian life with great zeal. Within a few years he had a successful ministry that ultimately left him feeling empty, burned out, and, once again, far away from God. In this intimate, soul-searching account, Miller describes his remarkable journey back to a culturally relevant, infinitely loving God.

±1±: Best Buy An engaging and extremely honest look at what it means to be a follower of Jesus, including some fairly indicting judgments on the Church and Christians in general. Because we don't love and accept others where they are, is it any wonder, they aren't flocking to the church doors? I would highly recommend this book! It is thought provoking and inspiring--one of a handful of books I will certainly re-read. I've ordered copies for friends, too. on Sale!

Tough-as-nails Sheriff Fitz Hall has learned the hard way that transplanted city girls are not to be trusted, so he plans to steer clear of the new arrival in town. Rhiannon Jakobowski has lived a staid, regimented life. Inheriting a bookstore in Shirley, Wyoming, is her first chance at independence, and she's determined to make the most of it. Within days of arriving, however, she wakes up to find the handsome sheriff in her bed. Pretty soon she's talking to ghosts. Is she losing her mind? Or is she just crazy for the cowboy?

±1±: Best Buy Faulkner Fitzgerald Hall stumbles into his apartment after staying with family for a few days. Little does he know that his apartment has been commandeered by the long lost niece of his good but deceased buddy.

Rhianna has a delicious dream in which she is being willingly ravished by a god-like male. When she comes awake she discovers she has finally lost her virginty to "Fitz" who thought he was dreaming as well.

Who are these characters and what will happen to them? How could they both claim ownership to the same apartment? Who is the mysterious uncle who Rhianna never met? And will Rhianna, despite Fitz's misgivings, stick to living in Wyoming after living all her life in Detroit?

I loved, loved, loved this book. This characters are so endearing. Fitz is an alpha-male with a real heart. A man who needs to control his woman but with love and kindness because that's "what real men are suppose to do".

Rhianna is my favorite kind of female: sweet and caring, taking her less than perfect earlier life and "dealing" with it. She nurtures rather than recriminates. Neither of these two realize they're falling in love and when they do, it happens naturally, it's that real.

Oh, and it's a very sexy story, too! And a little paranormal, as well! on Sale!

±1±: Best Buy After seeing the movie I was very anxious to read the book. It was so good! The plot basically the same but with some new and different things. It also gives you a lot to really think about, which I found to be good in a teen book. Also, the WAY it was written was fun and something I haven't ever seen done before. If you liked the movie, you will most likely enjoy the book too! on Sale!
